Update on life...

Went on honeymoon with the wife to San Jose, CA, and San Francisco, CA. Saw Genesis in concert on Oct. 9.

GENESIS WERE AMAZING. I've got the post-trip blues now because I miss that concert, it was the best concert I've ever been to, and it's really saddening that Genesis have now said goodbye to all of us fans. But I'm so glad I got to go see them.

Unfortunately, just before the concert, my camera got broken, so I didn't get any pictures.

Saw Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, that was pretty awesome.



Drove up to San Francisco, stayed at the Hilton on the 36th floor with a balcony overlooking the skyline and bay. Fantastic. Took my wife to the 46th floor and ate at Cityscape during sunset. Few menu choices but the food was great and so was the bread basket on the table. Wife got to try the Creme Brule for the first time, and I had some sort of coffee-flavored round ball of dough thing that was really good, and really rich.

Topped it all off with Champagne to celebrate our honeymoon. It was completely delightful.

Also drove across the Golden Gate Bridge, visited Baker Beach, toured Alcatraz, and drove down Lombard Street. Loved every minute of San Francisco.

Flew two different airlines on the trip. US Airways going to San Jose, and Southwest coming back from San Francisco. Wife got to see Grand Canyon from the air, and got to see Las Vegas for the first time, and she played a few slots while we were on a layover there.

She's now a bonafide Genesis fan, since the concert she's really gotten into the band. She loved the flights. We had such a great time. Too bad it's all over.


Now we get to play catch-up on the bills until December, then things should level out a bit. Just in time for Christmas.
